One of Sydney’s few official nude beaches.  Obelisk Beach is about 100 metres long and overlooks the Sydney Harbour.  The beach is largely enjoyed by the gay and lesbian community.

There are no outlets on or near the beach, remember to take everything you need for the day (water, snacks, etc.).

 

How to get there

Take a bus (route 244) from City Wynyard to Chowder Bay (purchase a pre-paid ticket before boarding the bus).  The journey time is around 30 minutes.   Then walk for about 5 minutes to Obelisk Beach which is on the right. Last updated: 01-15-2016
