Cheerful Chaweng

At 7 km long, Chaweng Beach is the longest, most developed and most popular beach on Koh Samui.  The area around the end of Soi Lamdin (off Chaweng Beach Road) tends to be particularly popular with gay sunbathers.

The beach has everything, from a wide selection of beachfront bars & restaurants to water sport rentals (jet skis, banana boats, windsurfing, etc) and more.  There are numerous upmarket resorts along the beach that extend back to Chaweng Beach Road, the epicentre of Koh Samui’s gay and straight nightlife.

Most evenings, many gay guys (and a few ladyboys) gather to play volleyball on the beach in front of O.P. Bungalow at Chaweng Beach.

How to get there
