Beautiful Bali

Bali is one of over 17,000 islands that make up the Indonesian archipelago.  With about two million visitors a year, Bali is Indonesia’s most important tourist destination accounting for almost 80% of all international tourists to the country.

Bali is known for its rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, rice paddies and scenic mountainous views.

Gay Scene

The increasing number of gay tourists to Bali in the past decades has contributed to the development of a thriving gay scene in the island’s southwest coastal area of Seminyak.

Many gay and gay-friendly establishments can be found near Jalan Camplung Tanduk (also known as Dhyana Pura).  These venues are open all year around and usually get busy every evening from around midnight

Most gay visitors stay at mainstream hotels or in private villas near Seminyak, but there are a number of ‘exclusively gay’ resorts, many of which are ‘clothing optional’.

Gay-popular beaches

For years, there had been large area near Callego café and massage spa that was Bali’s official ‘gay beach’.   However, the area was completely shut down to make way for another beachfront resort.

The two beaches that are frequented by gay sunbathers are Batu Belig Beach and Double Six Beach (Pantai 66), both of which are within easy reach from Seminyak.
